Global Aluminium Foil Industry to meet in New Delhi in January 2026

Leading experts from the global aluminium foil industry will meet in New Delhi, India, for the 8th Global Aluminium Foil Roller Conference (GLAFCO) from 27 – 30 January 2026. The event is organized by the Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative (GLAFRI) and is regarded as one of the industry's most important international forums, taking place every two years.

Since its initiation in 2008, GLAFCO has been held in several global centres, including Oman, Bangkok, Dubai, Shanghai and most recently Istanbul. New Delhi was chosen because of the dynamic development of its aluminium foil and converting sector on the Indian sub-continent. The previous events attracted more than 100 high-level delegates representing aluminium foil companies from around the world.

The conference agenda will cover current developments along the entire value chain – from macroeconomic outlook and market dynamics to technological innovations and strategic industry trends. The program will be complemented by visits to a leading regional foil roller and two converters, providing a hands-on insight into India's industrial opportunities.

The conference is open to the entire aluminium foil rolling value chain and interested parties. Registrations are now open with several discount options for GLAFRI members and early birds.

GLAFRI also invites industry professionals to actively contribute to the conference by submitting presentation proposals. Those interested in speaking at GLAFCO 2026 can respond to the official Call for Papers, open until 15 July 2025.

Once again, several suppliers sponsor the upcoming event in India with their generous support. Those are: Achenbach Buschhütten, Otto Junker as well as Actega, Novelis, Thiel & Hoche and Vollert.
